Exploring the Whites Safely
SRK Greenway Guest Speaker Charlie Stewart will present on Sunday, April 12th at 6:00pm.
Following this year’s Annual Meeting and potluck, our speaker Charlie Stewart will discuss hiking safety in the White Mountains. Charlie is a resident of Andover, and for the past 9 years has been a member of the Pemigewasset Valley Search and Rescue Team. On the PVSART, Charlie has participated in multiple search and rescue missions and recovery missions throughout the White Mountains.
In his talk, Charlie will be addressing the role of Search and Rescue, their training practices and why he got involved with the PVSART Team. Using slides and stories from his own experiences, Charlie will share his thoughts on the key steps to hiking safely in New England.

Charlie is also the owner of a hike guiding business, Exploring the Whites, where he shares his passion for the outdoors by offering guided hikes throughout the Northeast and Europe. In addition, Charlie serves on the Board of Selectmen and the School Board in Andover. He is also the Manager of Electronic Discovery at Sheehan Phinney.
Join us on Sunday, April 12th at 5:00pm for a great Potluck Supper at the North Sutton Meeting house on Route 114 – across the street from the Vernondale General store. Bring something to share. Stick around after the Potluck to hear Charlie Stewart discuss hiking safety and the role of Search and Rescue teams. Free and open to the public.
